Who you're hiring
Jaxen Wright quotes every job himself, runs the crew that installs it, and answers the phone afterwards.
There is no call centre, no commissioned salesman at your kitchen table, and nobody between you and the person who is responsible for the work. If something is wrong six months from now, you are calling the same number and the same person picks up.
We are based in Fort Worth and we cover everything inside about ninety minutes of the metroplex — which takes in most of North and Central Texas. A company that services your house is only useful if it is close enough to come back, and ninety minutes is close enough.
“If our picture of your house doesn't look like your house, we haven't done our job.”
Jaxen Wright, Owner
The standard
Most of what separates a good permanent lighting install from a bad one is restraint. Anyone can put more light on a house. The job is knowing where to stop.
We light the roofline and nothing else. No outlining around windows, no tracing door frames, no vertical runs down the corners of the house. One clean line along the top of the structure reads as architecture. Outlining every opening reads as a seasonal display — and on a house you live in year-round, that looks wrong for eleven months.
Fixtures face outward along the roof edge rather than washing down the walls. The shape of your house is what you see at night, not a flood-lit brick wall.
Spacing stays consistent at roughly twelve inches across every change in pitch and direction. That sounds like a small thing until you drive past an install where it wasn't held, and the whole roofline looks like it sags.
And the track goes on the fascia — the trim board under the roof edge. Nothing is fastened through shingles. If your roof is still under a manufacturer warranty, that is the distinction that protects it, and it is worth asking every installer you talk to.
We Light DFW is a division of Wright Home Improvement.
How we work
Text one photo of the front of your home and we send that same photo back with the lights on. The roofline is traced from your actual structure — we do not drop your house into a template or show you somebody else's. You see the result before you spend anything.
Priced by the linear foot of roofline, with the rate set by how tall and accessible the house is. You get it in writing, you keep it, and there is nothing to sign on the spot. Nobody has ever been talked into lighting.
The track mounts to the fascia — the trim board under the roof edge. Nothing is fastened through shingles. If your roof is still under a manufacturer warranty, that distinction is the one that matters.
The app account is handed to you at the end, along with written instructions. Parts are commonly available and any competent contractor can service the system. You are not tied to us for the life of your lights.
Our work
Every photograph on this site is one of our own installs, unretouched. Brick, stone, board-and-batten — the rooflines people actually have in Tarrant County.
Straight answers
Our own crew. We do not subcontract installs. Jaxen quotes the job, and the people who turn up are the people he works with every week.
No. We Light DFW is a division of Wright Home Improvement, and that is the whole structure. There is no franchisor setting our prices, no territory manager, and no national call centre taking your first phone call.
Everything within about ninety minutes of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. That takes in the whole metro plus a good deal of North and Central Texas. The limit is deliberate — a company that is going to service your lights for years has to be close enough to come back.
Three years on our workmanship, covering mounting, track, splices, terminations and water intrusion at our connections. The fixtures carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which we will show you in writing rather than summarise.
